Telugu superstar Allu Arjun turned 44 on Tuesday 8 April 2026, celebrating with family and close friends as fans across India trended birthday wishes on social media. The actor, whose Pushpa franchise redefined pan-India box office benchmarks, saw confirmation that Pushpa 3: The Rampage is now in active development with director Sukumar, with a release expected in 2028.
Meanwhile, Bollywood’s biggest 2026 blockbuster continues to rewrite records. Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge has crossed Rs 1,641 crore worldwide in just 21 days, becoming the first Bollywood film to cross Rs 1,000 crore net collection in India. Beyond Pushpa 3, Allu Arjun has a packed slate. On his birthday, the makers of his new film with director Atlee and production house Sun Pictures officially confirmed the collaboration. Atlee, the filmmaker behind Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan, will direct the project targeting a late 2027 release.
A second announcement confirmed Allu Arjun’s fourth collaboration with director Trivikram Srinivas, reportedly a mythological film in which the actor will play Lord Karthikeya. Producer Naga Vamsi confirmed that the movie will be different from conventional Ramayana and Mahabharata depictions.

Dhurandhar 2 Shatters Every Bollywood Record
Ranveer Singh’s spy thriller sequel, directed by Aditya Dhar and released on 19 March, achieved what no Bollywood film had done before. It crossed the Rs 1,000 crore net milestone in India in just 18 days, joining Pushpa 2 and Baahubali 2 as only the third Indian film to reach that mark.
The numbers tell the full story. The opening week collected Rs 690 crore net over an extended eight-day period. The second weekend added Rs 177 crore. Even in its third week, the film continued posting strong daily numbers. The India gross stands at Rs 1,237 crore, while the worldwide gross has reached Rs 1,641 crore.
Dhurandhar 2 crossed Rs 800 crore net in record time and has since become the highest-grossing Indian film in North America within its first week, surpassing Part 1’s entire overseas lifetime collection in just 10 days.
